Grafton and the Clarence Valley

YAMBA, ILUKA, MACLEAN, BROOMS HEAD, MINNIE WATER, WOOLI, GRAFTON, NYMBOIDA, GLENREAGH, ULMARRA

One of Australia’s largest waterways, the Clarence River is over 400kms from source to sea and a living link between the rugged highlands of the upper Clarence and the golden beaches that fringe the sparkling Pacific.

The Clarence River winds its way through deep ravines and broad plains, ancient forests, lush farmland, historic villages and 100 chartered islands where ferries still link the Clarence River’s islands and rural villages.

Explore the Clarence River and its tributaries white-water canoeing, a jet boat ride, a tranquil river cruise or potter about in a hire boat.

You’ll love touring the Clarence Coast with 80 kilometres of spectacular coastline, pristine beaches, fabulous seafood, historic towns, the majestic Clarence River and amazing seaside accommodation. From Iluka in the north through Yamba, Maclean to Wooli in the south, the Clarence Coast is blessed with idyllic weather.

In Clarence Country is Grafton, one of Australia’s most beautiful provincial cities renowned for its Jacaranda trees, and dozens of delightful country towns, villages and hamlets.

Browse through the 37 studios, galleries, antiques, arts & crafts and collectible stores dotted throughout the valley or treat your-self to the famous Yamba prawns and Wooli oysters at an award-winning restaurant or gourmet cafe. There are classic country pubs and an abundance of fetes, fairs and festivals.

Come to the Clarence where the lifestyle is as seductive as the spectacular surroundings.
