Copeland’s historic Goldtown has
long been a major attraction for the district with group guided
tours of the Mountain Maid Gold Mine.

Gloucester is the home to Barrington Beef, Barrington Perch and
many other alternative types of farming activities. These
operate under the umbrella of “Essentially Barrington Co
operative” and will open by appointment.
There are three licensed clubs
within the town where special entertainment is often scheduled
and almost every palate is catered for in our extensive choice
of eating houses and fine dining outlets, ranging from Thai,
Chinese, Italian and others who produce dishes specializing in
locally grown produce.
Gloucester hosts a variety of
events such among which are the Shakespeare on Avon Festival,
the Gloucester Mountain Man Tri Challenge, The Gloucester
Ceilidh, Rodeos and Country Music camps. Community markets are
held on the Saturday of each long weekend.
